Welcome

This website is based on the book “The Beavers: Their Roots and Their Branches” by Lois Beaver Smith. Most of the articles on this site are from this book, but we hope to add new content to the site over time as more people from the Beaver family add their stories.

Initial scanning and OCR work was done by Jason Beaver in April of 2020 while looking for something useful to do when sheltering at home during the COVID-19 pandemic. Thanks to Dennis Beaver and Robert Smith for help fixing all of the OCR mistakes.

Our hope is that this becomes a living document that future generations of Beavers can add their stories to. If you are a member of the Beaver family and wish to add some content to this site, please contact me.
